These FREE Trainings will also include information on understanding addiction, locations of Cambria counties permanent prescription drug collection sites, and Deterra Drug Deactivation system bags – which are scientifically proven to deactivate prescription drugs, rendering them ineffective for misuse and safe for the environment.

Naloxone, also known by the brand name “Narcan” is a prescription medicine that rapidly reverses heroin and other opioid overdoses. The application of Naloxone reminds us that the “antidote” isn’t a cure-all—it’s only the first step in recovery.

The enactment of ACT 139 – “David’s Law”- provides first responders, friends and families access to naloxone, an opioid overdose reversal medicine that will save lives and hopefully lead an individual toward the substance abuse treatment they need.

Registration for the trainings begin at 5:00pm prior to the training. You may also register for the training sessions by sending an email to: Kate Porter at Kate.Porter@DrugCoalition.org
