The Church and the Addiction Crisis WHAT CAN WE DO?

First Presbyterian Church is hosting an event on Wednesday, November 8th from 6:30-8:30 pm to discuss more about what the church can do in the face of the opioid crisis. It is sponsored by the Redstone Presbytery Addictions Ministry Network. There will also be Narcan training and recovery stories.    

Great American Smokeout

Every year, on the third Thursday of November, smokers across the nation take part in the American Cancer Society Great American Smokeout event. Encourage someone you know to use the date to make a plan to quit, or plan in advance and then quit smoking that day. By quitting – even for 1 day –
