Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Isn’t the Body of Christ amazing? We are God’s powerful tool to bring hope and healing to a lost world through the gospel of Jesus Christ. As we do the work of His Kingdom, New Day is keenly aware that it is the Body of Christ working together that makes the most impact. Everything we have been able to accomplish these past 40 years has been done as a partnership with local churches. What churches provide in financial, volunteer, and prayer support is truly what makes this ministry possible.
In this time in our culture, with widespread drug abuse and an increase in perversion and violence, our community needs the Body of Christ more than ever. Recently groups of intercessors have been meeting in various locations all over our city praying for God to intervene in the region. A group has been meeting faithfully down here at New Day as well, led by Cheryl B. Keafer, our Director of Counseling, and they are planning a “Focused Night of Prayer and Worship” to bring the Body together to pray.
Would you join us in this effort by informing your congregation and inviting them to participate that evening? We would especially like to encourage anyone whom you consider a prayer leader to attend. Our hope is to initiate an on-going effort to pray united for the needs of our community.
