International Overdose Awareness Day

International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on August 31  each year and aims to raise awareness of overdose and reduce the stigma of a drug-related death. The CCDC holds a local event every year at Peoples Natural Gas Park.

Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities, and is observed in school districts across Cambria County.

DEA Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Free Drug Trends, Narcan Administration, and SUD 101 Training

Greater Johnstown YMCA 100 Haynes St, Johnstown, PA, United States

Free training for anyone that is working in the drug and alcohol field, mental health professional, or is personally impacted by a substance use disorder. Although this training is being held at the YMCA, you do not have to be a member to attend this training. There are so many new scary drugs throughout Cambria County it is imperative for all of us to be informed to protect ourselves and anyone we know that has a substance use disorder. Learn about addiction through the trainers' personal experience and reduce the stigma associated with addiction.
